Maritime Museum

In Papenburg you will meet “Brigg”, “Spitzmutte” and Co: The total of six replicas of ships with the unusual names dominate the cityscape and together they form a unique open-air maritime museum. The brigg Friederike anchoring in front of the historic townhall is the town’s landmark and at the same time it is used as tourist information centre from April until October.
